Estimate Detail ScreenThe Estimate Detail screen shows what Components and Assemblies have been added to an Estimate. The User simply drags a Component or Assembly from the tree on the desktop to this screen. When the item is dropped, a dialog screen will appear asking for the quantity required for the Estimate. When the quantity is entered, all costs are calculated for that specific item and the User is able to override those costs with another value or skip the calculated costs all together. Each Detail item added will display on the following screen. If an item needs to be corrected, the User just double-clicks on the specific item and the quantity screen will be displayed. Removing an item requires the User to highlight the specific Component or Assembly and then press the Delete button. The specifics on the Estimate Detail Screen are shown below:
![]() A) An Estimate Detail item can be assigned to a specific Area or Room. The User can create as many Areas in an Estimate as desired. This aids in allowing an Estimate to be split and estimated by room, if needed. The Area is assigned on the Estimate Detail Quantity screen. B) This section of the grid shows the quantity required and the calculated costs for that item. The calculated costs include the waste percentages entered on the Component or Assembly. C) This section of the screen shows the total for all of the displayed Estimate Detail items. D) This is the Estimate Detail filtering criteria. The User can select criteria to just show Components, just show Assemblies, show a specific Area or Category. The totals displayed in C above will be recalculated to total what is shown in the screen. Estimate Detail Quantity ScreenWhen an Estimate Detail item is added by dragging and dropping a Component or Assembly into an Estimate, this screen is displayed. The quantity needed and/or the Area is entered on this screen. When a quantity is entered, all costs for the item are calculated with the appropriate waste percentages. The User can accept these values or override them with new values. The User can also bypass specific costs if desired. EZ Construction Estimator makes adding items to an Estimate quick and easy. The screen is shown below with specific areas highlighted:
